The Blue Bette Mobile is the only car in the gravel lot.
There is a small wooden structure on one side, but no sign of life.
The Yolo Shortline
is a working freight railway. Unlike tourist railroads that make
money from offering passenger service, the Yolo makes most of it's money
hauling freight in California's Central Valley, interchanging with the
Union Pacific in Sacramento. Passenger service is just a way to make
a little more money on the weekends.
Shortly after we arrive, a Yolo pickup truck arrives, and the crew turns
the small wooden structure into the ticket office. |
