The train arrives in Willits and we have an hour before we head back to Fort Bragg.

The California Western used to connect with the Northwestern Pacific Railroad in Willits.  Weather and poor management conspired against the NWP, and it closed several years ago.  As a result, a sizable number of locomotives and historic railroad cars are stranded in Willits. I decide to explore the NWP yard and see what I can find.

Central California Traction Company #80 came from a railroad in the San Joaquin Valley.
