The Sunset Dinner Train is indeed a slow train to nowhere.  The train pulls away from the station and we rapidly acquire our traveling speed of around 10 miles an hour.

We pass through a yard of idle rolling stock as the first course is served.

John and I laugh after deciding our dining car was decorated by the same person who influenced Denny's in the 1980s:  teal curtains, flower print upholstery, brass and hardwood.
