SisterBetty.orgRail Tripping
Our reservation confirmation indicated we should check in 30 minutes before the scheduled departure.  Designed by a strip mall architect, the depot is a cavernous building with a bar on one side and a ticket counter on the other.  I suspect the request for early check in has more to do with selling drinks to bored passengers than it does any operational requirements.

The mural painted above the men's urinal is the most noteworthy part of the depot.  Having enjoyed the artist's rendition of the Sierra Railroad, we chose to wait outside the depot where we could to avoid the pianist limited to playing from the Muzak songbook.
