Just days before our journey, the roof of the tunnel
into Santa Cruz began to fall. The conductor explains that an old
well located directly above the tunnel, thought to date back to the original
mission, has caused damage to the roof. The company closed the tunnel
for two weeks for repairs and passengers traded the train for a bus. |
