SisterBetty.orgRail Tripping
The train is 30 minutes behind schedule, and the crew is pushing to make up the time.  We speed out of Oakland and head northward along the bay.  Unlike the peninsula side of the bay, which consists of strip malls, car dealerships and faceless neighborhoods, the east bay has a quirky industrial character.  The rough and gritty, working-class scene zips by as we accelerate.
