Among railfans, the rail line between Sacramento, California
and Reno, Nevada is held as one of the most historic and beautiful rail
lines in the United States. Rising from the Sacramento River delta,
over and through the Sierra Nevada mountain range, this line was built
by hand in the 1860's and completed the first trans-continental railroad.
Once again, I enlisted the company of my trusty sidekick, Rufus, for
a rail journey and we headed out to see this line for ourselves.
