| The next morning
I'm up early and on the train. The Malahat today consists of just
a single RDC and most of the seats are empty.
I expected the RDC to be
somewhat dilapidated given both its age and remote assignment. I
was surprised to find the car had recently been completely overhauled on
the mainland and brought over to Vancouver Island in the past few months.
The 50 year old machine was not showing its age.
