The Grand Canyon Railroad is the most expensive railroad I've ever visited.  Our tickets cost more than my first-class London to Paris Eurostar fare.  The cheapest ticket on the train is $58 round trip, we opted for the Observation Lounge at $137 per person.  Forks to stick in your eyeballs later in the trip are not included in this base price (read on...)

The Williams station is next to the Burlington Northern/Santa Fe mainline and a fast container train comes over the hill as we begin our trip to the Grand Canyon.
