Flagstaff, Arizona, is a railroad town.  The Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway parallels Route 66 which serves as Flagstaff's main street.  Trains continously roll through the city and stop traffic.

Growing up less than a quarter mile from the tracks, I knew what a Mars Light was before I knew how to read or write.

My traveling companion was somewhat annoyed with the trains running throughout the night.  I felt right at home.
